FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a third-party risk involved in protecting the client data?

SBSL delivers its services exclusively from its own secure facilities, using its own employees, on infrastructure that it owns and operates. We do not subcontract service delivery. That single design choice removes a large category of third-party risk, and it means SBSL operates, monitors, and is accountable for every control described in this document.

How many layers of security arrangement exist in SBS?

Our layered security model includes multiple stages that strengthen client data security at each level. It starts with implementing the right physical security, network security, endpoint security, effective identity and access controls, data security, proper employee training, and strong governance and assurance.

What are the privacy principles that we adhere to?
  1. Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles
  2. India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023
  3. ISO/IEC 27001:2022
What does your information security and quality team do?

The team sits apart from day-to-day delivery so that it can review operations objectively, and it works closely with the IT team, the Data Protection Officer and process owners.
So, they maintain the management systems, monitor compliance, coordinate incidents, drive awareness, and support customers.

What are the various layers of physical security that protect the client's information?

1. Zone 1- Perimeter and reception
2. Zone 2- Business and support areas
3. Zone 3-Service delivery zone
4. Zone 4-Restricted zone

Zone 3 remains paper-free, clear desk, and no personal devices are allowed, and Zone 4 is completely restricted and not authorised for entry.

Do you run your own data centre and delivery network?

Yes, SBSL runs its own data centre and delivery network. Our technology and network security include a network perimeter, server and identity infrastructure, hardened desktops, endpoint protection (CrowdStrike Falcon), internet and email controls, security monitoring (ManageEngine SIEM), availability and performance monitoring (Site24x7), and a dedicated IT team.

How does SBS manage a security incident or a breach?

We have a security incident and breach management lifecycle with the following steps: Detect, Triage, Contain, Eradicate and Recover, Notify, and Learn.
