The holiday season is for spending time with your friends and loved ones but it is also the perfect time of year to reach out to your clients and show them your appreciation. While simply saying ‘thanks’ is also a way to express your gratitude, words don’t usually convey the message as well as actions do. Neglecting the importance of maintaining a strong relationship with clients is a common pitfall in many accounting firms. If you are in the customer service business or any business in general, you should always strive to show clients your gratitude and appreciation in exciting and memorable ways. Here are 5 ways to help you do this.

  1. Pay it forward with a book

Think about the books that have been most influential to you and your company. This could be a book that talks about the industry your business operates in or has helped guide the values, principles and vision of your company. A creative way to thank your clients is to send them a copy of a book that you found inspiring.
